David Weidman, MD

Dr. Weidman is a Board Certified Neurologist, with fellowship training in neurophysiology, and over 15 years of subspecialty neurocognitive expertise in diagnosing and staging Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. He graduated from SUNY Downstate Medical School, did his residency training at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, and completed a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at West Virginia Medical Center, Morgantown W VA. While at Banner Alzheimer’s Institute, he was the site Principal Investigator for the pivotal phase 3 trials of Leqembi and Kisunla, leading to FDA approval of these anti-amyloid disease-modifying treatments for mild cognitive impairment and mild stage Alzheimer’s disease. His cognitive/behavioral neurologic practice encompasses comprehensive care for Alzheimer’s, Parkinsonian and Lewy body dementias, FrontoTemporal Dementia(s), and other neurodegenerative disorders affecting memory and thinking. He serves as a Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology at the Arizona University College of Medicine-Phoenix, and has extensive experience teaching cognitive neurology to medical students as well as psychiatry, internal medicine and neurology residents through local residency programs.
