Jacqueline (Jackie) Murphy DNP, APRN, FNP-BC is a board certified Nurse Practitioner. Jackie pursued her Doctorate of Nursing with Family Nurse Practitioner training at The University of Arizona, graduating in 2018. She completed her doctoral dissertation educating the community about Advance Care Planning and the importance of communicating end-of-life wishes with loved ones. She is passionate about holistic patient care, and incorporates this into improving the quality of life in patients who have life-altering medical diagnoses. After graduation she transitioned into General Neurology; and prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Jackie worked as an RN from 2009-2016 with focus in Critical Care at multiple valley hospitals.

She is experienced in managing care for multiple neurological conditions, with a passion for Parkinson’s disease and Movement Disorders. She has been an advocate for further research and treatment of Parkinson’s disease ; which included a partnership with Parkinson’s foundation to offer free genetic testing to patients living with Parkinson’s. She is actively involved with multiple organizations including: PMD Alliance’s APProviders™ Consortium, International Parkinson’s and Movement Disorder Society, The American Academy of Neurology, Lewy Body Dementia Association. She has served on multiple advisory boards for new pharmaceutical treatments in Parkinson’s. In addition to this, she assisted PMD Alliance in creating a Movement Disorder Certification for APPs. She is also one of the first APPs in the United States to be certified as a Movement Disorder APP.
She is trained to manage patients with Deep Brain Stimulation-DBS (Medtronic, Boston Scientific and Abbott); Vagal Nerve Stimulation-VNS for Epilepsy; and Duopa pump.

Jackie is a native Arizonan residing in Mesa, AZ with her husband. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family along with her two “fur-babies”, 8yr. old Whoodle and 6 yr. old Wheaten Terrier.
