Ryan loves facilitating his patients on their journeys as they find insight, healing and new perspectives on their stories. He uses cognitive behavioral therapy and insight-oriented therapy that helps patients understand how their feelings, beliefs, actions and events from the past are influencing their current mindset.

Ryan provides individual counseling and enjoys working with adults and adolescents. Ryan specializes in addictions, anxiety, stress reduction, depression, self-esteem, chronic diseases (i.e. Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, migraines, fibromyalgia, stroke, pain, grief and loss and relationship issues).

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has been useful in helping patients that suffer chronic diseases such as MS, fibromyalgia, migraines, chronic pain, and stroke. Patients feel less depressed and anxious and find more acceptance of their disease and manage their symptoms better when they are involved with CBT therapy. Patients may be struggling with grief and loss relating to their loss of employment, death of a loved one and loss of physical ability. Counseling can benefit patients struggling with these issues as well.

Ryan currently sees Foothills Neurology patients at the Neurobehavioral Health office in Ahwatukee.
