Dr. Diedrich has 35 years of clinical experience in Physical Therapy, and has utilized Osteopathic Manipulative Treatments for most of those years also, after receiving post-grad training in Sutherland Craniotherapy through the Osteopathic Medicine program at Michigan State University. After attending courses, she worked with a mentor from the program for 2 years.
A Biopsychosocial approach to treatment is used in treatment of pain and dysfunction, both Acute and Chronic conditions. Many Manual Therapy techniques (15+ to be specific) are utilized during treatment as indicated. An initial evaluation is scheduled to determine the diagnosis and problems, followed by treatment sessions including Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment & Physical Therapy Treatment, Education, and Instruction in a Home Exercise Program. All 3 aspects are important in achieving the goals of treatment, as the patient is a partner in their health.
Dr. Diedrich has been with us at Foothills Neurology for 18 years. She currently sees Foothills Neurology patients at the Ahwatukee office.
