Catherine O'Neill, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC
Catherine O’Neill, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, received her Master of Science in Nursing from University of Phoenix. As a certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Catherine focuses on all areas of family medicine. Her key areas of interest include diabetes, reducing cardiovascular risks, and renal damage. She has a passion for mental health and believes that much of what occurs in the mind affects the body. She provides her patients with a safe place where they can speak about their struggles, pain, and goals. Catherine’s clinical interests also include promoting a healthy lifestyle through weight management and weight loss.
Catherine’s is originally from Berlin, New Hampshire. Her background includes nursing and managerial expertise within hospitals, as well as family practice experience. Catherine was a member of the State of New Hampshire legislative advisory committee regulating newborn screening and she coordinated hospital-wide Neonatal Resuscitation Programs (NPR) for physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff. She also provided lactation education and support. Additionally, Catherine volunteered for hospice, visiting patients in-home and in nursing homes.
When she’s not working with patients, Catherine spends time with her husband and dogs. She enjoys cooking, health coaching, reading, researching, painting, and meeting with friends.
Catherine currently sees Foothills Neurology patients at the Neurobehavioral Health office in Ahwatukee.
